About Me

I am trained as an engineer, a statistician and an auditor but I am also trained as a yoga teacher and I am a published poet.

I am a 51 year old divorced father of three young adults aged 19, 21 and 23. My children have been my students, teachers and harshest critics. Much of what I write about, I write for their unsolicited benefit. I currently live with two of my children in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

I love the wilderness and the open road and have traveled extensively through-out the United States and Canada seeking both. I enjoy visits to urban centers and museums and love good regional food but I am more at peace camping or hiking in a National Park or wilderness area.

I am Eagle Scout and try to live an honorable life. I served as a Scoutmaster for six years and helped develop more than 25 Eagle Scouts, including one of my sons. I have led treks to the Adirondacks and Rocky Mountain West.

I am a senior consultant with Metamorphosis Management Group of Carmel, NY and an adjunct faculty member at the SUNY Empire State College in the Business, Management and Economics area of study.

I have had an interesting and varied work career that includes paper mills, steel foundries, construction sites, yoga retreat centers and shamanic healing practitioners amongst others. My work has taken me to Europe, Asia and South America. I have helped several businesses survive existential crises and go on to viable futures. I have helped many more address issues of competitiveness and growth and guided them to a higher playing field. Fine tuning strategy and finding leverage are two of my hallmarks.

When I work, I am always working the solution on multiple levels. My approach is developmental for both myself and others and my solutions are structured to contribute into the future and without requiring my continued presence.
